Résumé
This is a summary of quantitative and qualitative aspects of a survey of public servants’ attitudes and perceptions of bilingualism in government. It covered the attitudes and levels of acceptance, satisfaction, and knowledge of official languages policies, correlations of knowledge of and support for policies, and benchmarks for monitoring progress. It resulted in recommendations on defining ideals for the workplace, misperceptions of policy, and hierarchy of communications.
