Résumé
Investigates differences in the perceived quality of life among age, income and linguistic groups in Canada. English-French differences and the degree to which they may contribute to support for the withdrawal of Quebec from Canadian confederation is considered. General life satisfaction, satisfaction with financial situation and satisfaction with life in Canada are analyzed. Although results show English-French differences, the French were more satisfied than their English counterparts. Age and income were related to levels of general life satisfaction. Satisfaction with financial situation showed substantially higher relationships with both income and age.
