Daniel Boutin, originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, holds an Honours B.A. in Social Science from the University of Ottawa, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Francophone Studies. He is currently a Master's candidate in Sociology at the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies at the University of Ottawa, specializing in sociolinguistics and life course studies. His thesis focuses on the linguistic representations of young adults who were educated in French in Halifax, and how these linguistic representations changed from adolescence to their transition to adulthood, during their Emerging Adulthood experience.
