Abstract
Les programmes d'immersion en français ont d'abord suscité des problèmes d'attitude, des difficultés d'ordre pratique et des craintes quant aux effets de ces programmes sur les enfants. Or il s'avère que l'éducation bilingue en anglais et en français favorise l'apprentissage. Dans cet article, l'auteur traite des recherches sur l'immersion et discute plus particulièrement de certaines évaluations controversées des programmes d'immersion en français.
