Sandrine Mounier
Sandrine Mounier obtained her PhD in urban studies from the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2021. Her thesis focused on local public action in diversity management, as well as interethnic and gender relations in neighborhood spaces, particularly sports facilities and public libraries. She joined the Institute's team in 2026 as a postdoctoral researcher, working on a project on the discoverability of French-language content in public libraries in Francophone and Acadian minority communities. She previously completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Observatoire Nord/Sud at Université Sainte-Anne, where she coordinated a research project on the Congrès mondial acadien of 2024. Her work lies at the intersection of studies on immigration in Francophone and Acadian communities, ethnocultural identity, spatial belonging, and women's experiences. She also holds a certificate in equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility from Dalhousie University.
