Abstract
The recruitment and reception of Francophone immigrants is an important issue for Francophone minority communities concerned with maintaining their demographic weight and ensuring their vitality. In this article, we draw on the results of a comparative study aimed at taking stock of welcome services for Francophone immigrants in the territories and provinces of Western Canada. The analysis of the data shows a differentiated use of welcome services based on the intersection of different social markers: experiences of plural social mobilities; a feeling of isolation in the face of specialized services that only partially respond to global challenges; and the experience of triple marginalization for participants from sub-Saharan Africa.
