Abstract
The qualitative survey of public servants’ attitudes and perceptions of bilingualism used interviews of 30 executives, 14 face-to-face focus groups, and many on-line chat sessions and bulletin boards. It developed insight and direction on the attitudes and levels of acceptance, satisfaction, and knowledge of official languages policies, correlations of knowledge of and support for policies, and benchmarks for monitoring progress, with findings not projected to a larger population.
