Abstract
This document contains the Government of Canada’s plan for fostering the country’s two official languages, English and French. The plan consists of an accountability and coordination framework, which sets out the existing responsibilities of federal institutions and adds new ones. Its measures focus on three areas: education, community development, and an exemplary public service. The plan also includes measures to support interpreters, translators, and other workers in the language industries.
