Abstract
Errors in dictation by Quebec & Franco-Ontarian postsecondary students (N = 89 & 150) were analyzed. A Chi square test was used to detect significant differences between groups. Results indicate that Franco-Ontarian students have specific difficulties: they were the only Ss to have difficulty with the indefinite tout 'all' & plural forms; their spelling was more often influenced by Eng; they made more accentuation mistakes; & they produced more homonymic confusions. 4 Tables, Appendixes.
