Abstract
This Standing Committee report presents the results of a study of the vitality of Canada’s official languages in minority communities. It looks at the Official Languages Act; official languages programs; action plans for official languages in the areas of education, community development, health care, and immigration; and the needs of communities regarding minority language education. It incorporates two previous studies related to health care and immigration. Includes 39 recommendations and two supplementary opinions.
