Abstract
The small number of Francophone immigrants who settle in Saskatchewan could indicate that diversity and integration are far from being major concerns in the Franco-Saskatchewanian (Fransaskois) community. However, events in the community, such as friction over the Jeux Fransaskois (an annual Francophone track-and-field competition) in 2005, have raised questions about diversity and integration, leading to the creation of the Commission on Inclusion in the Fransaskois Community in 2006. The commission examined the issues on behalf of the community, and its recommendations laid the groundwork for receiving newcomers. [J]
