Abstract
This survey was undertaken with the objective of providing the federal government with a blueprint for action, so that satisfactory and understandable services and information will, more reliably and uniformly than is presently the case, be provided to Canadian citizens in both official languages, where numbers warrant, all across the country. The results of this survey give a picture of the availability and quality of services which federal institutions are capable of providing in both official languages in designated offices.‑-Foreword
