Abstract
With the adoption in 1982 of Section 23 of the "Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms", political and pedagogical issues of official minority language education have once again become topics of heated debate. This paper examines both political and pedagogical issues, and presents their implications for the implementation of French-language minority education in Canada.
