Abstract
Studies social conditions and attitudes of the elderly living at home outside major metropolitan areas in seven regions and whether they vary according to region of residence; compares findings for French and English-speaking individuals; Quebec Province. Based on a survey of people aged 65 and older living at home on whether they live alone or with family members, their interest in living in old age homes, their family and social relationships, and extent of social participation, 1983-92.
