Abstract
A bibliography of 430 books, journal articles, papers, and other references on Acadian French written in English or French is divided into two principal sections: an annotated bibliography of works focusing on the Acadian French dialect spoken in the Canadian Maritime Provinces, and an unannotated bibliography pertaining to Louisiana Acadian French. Within the main sections, works are cited in six categories: (1) phonetics and phonology; (2) morphology and syntax; (3) lexicology, lexicography, semantics, and semiotics; (4) dialectology, sociolinguistics, and geolinguistics; (5) psycholinguistics, bilingualism, anglicization, and pedagogy; and (6) miscellaneous (general studies, folklore, ethnology, bibliographies, etc.). Author, subject, and geographic indexes are included. (MSE)
