This article looks at Canadian francophonie in a minority situation (outside the province of Québec) and the desire for acknowledgement that inhabited this francophonie until recently. The article suggests that Francophones living in a minority situation have, after a long battle, entered an era that can be called post-acknowledgement. If the theory provides a reason to rejoice this new order, the author suggests rather that this post-acknowledgement gives rise to a few challenges for communities that are too often “invisible”.
