Natalie Melanson Breau
Natalie holds an M.A. in Communication from the University of Ottawa (2011), a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Université de Moncton (2022), and is a professor in the Information Communication program at the Université de Moncton. Her research focuses on complementary interests developed throughout her professional and academic career: the power of words, linguistic polemics, communication strategies (especially crisis communication), and journalistic practices, all in the socionumeric age. She focuses on the Acadian terrain, both to reveal the particularities and specificities of this region in a minority context, and to situate it within broader phenomena (national‑international perspectives, center‑periphery, urban-rural).
