Josée Sparks
Josée is studying for a Master of Arts in Psychology at the Université de Moncton. She holds a Bachelor’s degree with a specialisation in Psychology from the Université de Moncton. Her Master’s thesis focuses on assessing individual factors linked to brain plasticity and substance abuse behaviours. She is investigating how innate attentional profiles in animal models interact with the environment to influence neuronal morphology. As a bilingual woman from Moncton, where French is a minority language, the French-speaking community has always been close to her heart. She is a strong advocate for access to services in French and is therefore pursuing a research project to translate and validate a French version of an anxiety questionnaire, in addition to having held several positions where translating English-language materials into French was part of her duties. She is proud to contribute as an employee of the Canadian Institute for Research on Linguistic Minorities.
