Joinville, Nazaire
Nazaire Joinville is a PhD student in Language Sciences at the University of Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada), specialising in sociolinguistics. His thesis will focus on linguistic representations in Quebec and Acadia from a comparative perspective. He holds a Master’s degree in Francophone Cultures and Spaces (Linguistics) from the Université Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication from the State University of Haiti. His research focuses primarily on linguistic ideologies and representations, as well as language contact dynamics in Francophone and Creole-speaking contexts. He has experience as a research assistant, in research centre coordination, and in teaching French. Nazaire has several publications to his credit in academic journals both in Canada and internationally.
