Andrea Burke-Saulnier
Andrea Burke-Saulnier is an associate professor in the Department of Education at Université Sainte-Anne. Anglophone by birth, she now identifies herself as an adopted Acadian. Andrea has lived, studied and worked in an Acadian community in Nova Scotia for 24 years. Her doctoral work focuses on how high school students experience oral corrective feedback and how this feedback corresponds to the development of a positive relationship with the French language as well as the support of students' self-determination needs. Her current research explores the context of teaching and learning French in the North American Francophonie, how to better support and coach students and teachers in Francophone minority settings, and the experiences of teachers in minority settings during COVID-19. She is a co-founder of the Chantiers d'actions et de recherche pour des Ffrancophonies inclusives (CARFfI) and is in charge of the Parlons avec confiance (PAC) project.
