E.-Martin Meunier is Full Professor at the University of Ottawa's School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies. Since 2011, he has held the “Québec, Canadian Francophonie and Cultural Change” Chair. He was also Director of the Collège des chaires de recherche sur le monde francophone (CCRMF) at the University of Ottawa, from 2019 to 2023. His research interests range from the sociology of Quebec society, to the sociology of religion, to the social and historical analysis of the Canadian Francophonie. Author of 8 books and over 75 scientific contributions in various journals and collectives. He co-directs (with Marie-Claude Thifault) the Collection “21e - Société, Histoire et cultures” at the University of Ottawa Press. Since 2016, he has been a foreign associate member of the Groupe Société Religions et Laïcité (École pratique des Hautes études/CNRS, Paris). He is also a member of the scientific committees of the journals Archives des sciences sociales des religions, Sociologies, Studies in Religion | Sciences Religieuses and Recherches sociographiques.
