Marc L. Johnson is interested in the experience and policies regarding ethnocultural and linguistic minorities. The case of Canada’s official language minorities is at the heart of his work in sociology. To date, his work has touched several fields such as education, socioeconomic development, governance, and intercommunity relations, and more specific sectors such as literacy, health, agri-food, justice, media, and technology. His involvement in international development helps him compare and contrast. He is notably interested in sharing knowledge between researchers and stakeholders in community development. He has a Ph.D. in sociology and has studied in journalism and communication.
